My biggest gripe had to do with eating lunch the next day at Mickey Mantle's Bar and grill. The slots were very very tight that night, more so than I can ever remember in the past, so not so much fun if you don't get to win at least a little now and then. We did not opt to eat any of the self serve food (that is just our preference). Our server was also very good despite the large number of guests. We ate at the Grand Via buffet and I must say that the crab legs, prime rib and mashed potatoes were great. Winstar does a good job with the friendly staff and courteous hosts.
I did have some difficulty sleeping due to the mattress not being quite to my liking, but that is a personal gripe and may not affect anyone else. Everything appeared to be in good repair. The decor is modern and pleasing to the eye. The complimentary water was a much appreciated touch. Our room was nice, clean and well stocked with a great view of the pool area. The check in was very efficient and friendly, not like Las Vegas.
